Greymouth Motorcycle Street Race - Celebrating 30 years of Racing:  1989 - 2019'

In 2019, the Greymouth Motorcycle Street Race Inc. celebrated the 30th anniversary of its annual event, the Greymouth Motorcycle Street Race.

As part of the celebrations, a book was produced to capture the history of this iconic event, from its inaugural debut in 1989 through to 2019.

This edition celebrates and showcases the many Riders who have raced at high speed through the streets of our CBD, and who have shared their experiences, memories, and stories from taking part over the years.

To all of those Riders, we extend our sincere thanks.

To the Riders’ families, friends, pit crews, and supporters — thank you for backing your Riders and being part of our event. Without your support, an event like this simply wouldn’t be possible.

To the many committee members who have come and gone throughout the years, the contractors, the sponsors, the Grey District Council, the mayors, and of course the countless volunteers who have contributed over the past three decades — thank you for helping put our Street Race “on the map”.
